Tupelo police investigate fatal shooting at local gas station
Authorities in Tupelo are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Monday night at a local gas station.
At approximately 9:09 p.m., police responded to North Mississippi Medical Center after a man with life-threatening injuries arrived by ambulance. The victim was shot inside a vehicle in the parking lot of the Shell gas station at 1930 Briar Ridge Road, police said.
The man died from his injuries, and the suspect was identified and taken into custody following the investigation, according to Tupelo police. The case remains active as investigators continue to gather information.
