The city of Tupelo will close a section of South Feemster Lake Road on Tuesday for cross drain installation, according to the Public Works Department.
The closure will affect the stretch between Wilson Street and Briar Ridge Road from 8 a.m. to approximately 2 p.m. The temporary closure is to ensure safety for workers and motorists during the project, officials said.
Motorists are advised to use alternate routes and allow extra travel time. They are also urged to exercise caution near the work zone and follow posted signs and directions from city personnel.
The city plans to complete the work as quickly and safely as possible and reopen the roadway as soon as the project concludes, officials said.
