Tupelo to Perform Cross-Drain Replacement on Walsh Road

The Tupelo Public Works Department will replace a cross-drain on Walsh Road on Wednesday, July 29, from 8 a.m. to approximately 3 p.m., according to city officials.

The project aims to improve drainage infrastructure and ensure the continued reliability of the city’s stormwater system, officials said.

During construction, motorists should expect a temporary detour in the work area. Drivers are encouraged to plan alternate routes and exercise caution while traveling through the zone.

Residents are asked to avoid parking near the work site during construction hours to allow crews and equipment access. The city thanked the public for their patience and cooperation as crews carry out the project, which is weather-dependent and intended to be completed as quickly and safely as possible.
