Zach Bragg, Known for Versatile Roles, Stars in ‘Young Frankenstein’ at Tupelo Community Theatre
Zach Bragg stars as Igor in the upcoming production of Mel Brooks’ musical ‘Young Frankenstein’ at Tupelo Community Theatre, scheduled for August 20-22. Bragg is known for wearing many hats, including roles as a trophy husband and father of two, as well as a stereotypical hot nurse, though he never sports a fedora.
Bragg credits his love of acting to his mother, who used to make him pretend to be 11 years old at restaurants where kids under 12 eat free. His varied career includes appearances in productions like ‘Shrek the Musical,’ ‘Big Fish,’ ‘Something Rotten,’ and ‘The Guys.’ He has also been spotted napping in a chair at Barnes and Noble.
His role as Igor was influenced by a medical experience where he took oral steroids, leading to a buffalo hump. Bragg’s diverse background and experiences have contributed to his dynamic stage presence. The production is directed by Christi Houin, and tickets are available through the theatre’s website.
