Students prepare for upcoming production of Madagascar, Jr. at Lyric Theatre

The cast of Madagascar, Jr. is set to perform at the Lyric Theatre from February 4 to 6, 2027, according to organizers. The production features students from various schools and community groups.

Leading roles include London Tate-Alex as Zookeeper, Kate Tally as Gloria, Porter Moore as Melman, Landen Davis as Marty, and Marley Tubb as Lyla Criswell. The cast also includes Livvy Worthey, Zoey Wafler, Eleanor Nichols, Victoria Ventura, Kellan Dees, Elijah Keller, Layla Murphy, and Graham Doss.

The ensemble features a variety of characters, including penguins, lemurs, lions, and other zoo animals. Notable cast members include Warren Funderburk, Kendyll Stults, Sara Tubb, and Natalie Edmonson. Additional roles are filled by Noli Kennedy, Grey Lane, and others from the local community.

Supporting roles include New Yorkers and zoo guests, such as Harper Claire McCustion, who plays a subway announcer, and Lexi Edwards as a police officer. The production also features animal control characters, a ship captain, and various zoo animals, bringing the story to life for audiences.
