Tupelo man charged with felony malicious mischief after vehicle damage

Authorities in Tupelo have arrested a man accused of damaging multiple vehicles on Horton Street earlier this month.

On June 19, police responded to reports of vehicle damage. The victim told officers that three cars had tires slashed.

After an investigation, officers arrested 21-year-old Lajerrius Venson of Tupelo on June 30. He was charged with one count of felony malicious mischief, according to police.

Judge Weir of Tupelo Municipal Court ordered Venson held on a $40,000 bond on July 2. The case will be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury for further review, authorities said.
