Authorities have arrested a Tupelo man in connection with a bicycle theft on North Park Street earlier this year. The theft was reported on April 11, when officers responded to the scene and learned that a bicycle, which was locked and mounted to a vehicle, had been stolen during the early morning hours.
After an investigation, authorities identified 38-year-old Cleveland Tucker as a suspect. He was taken into custody on July 20, and charged with grand larceny, according to police.
Judge Weir of the Tupelo Municipal Court ordered Tucker held on a $5,000 bond. The case is scheduled to be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury, police said.
