Tupelo man charged with auto burglary after early-morning incident
Authorities responded to reports of individuals pulling on vehicle door handles in the Winfield Drive area early July 23. An investigation revealed that a vehicle had been broken into and property stolen, Tupelo police said.
During the investigation, officers identified Tyler Hunt, 18, of Tupelo, as a suspect. He was charged with burglary of an automobile.
Judge Jay Weir of Tupelo Municipal Court set Hunt’s bond at $5,000 on July 23. The case will be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury for review, police said.
