Tupelo woman charged with embezzling over $11,000 from Walmart
Tupelo police arrested Alle Whitaker, 32, of Mantachie, on charges of embezzlement following an investigation into a theft at Walmart Neighborhood Market on South Gloster Street.
Police responded to the store on July 15 after reports of an employee stealing money. Authorities estimate that Whitaker embezzled approximately $11,026, according to reports.
Whitaker was taken into custody and charged with felony embezzlement. Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Weir set her bond at $4,000. The case is now scheduled for presentation to the Lee County Grand Jury, authorities said.
