Two Baldwyn residents charged with felony shoplifting in Tupelo

Two residents of Baldwyn have been charged with felony shoplifting after multiple thefts at a Tupelo Walmart, according to police reports.

On Aug. 6, officers responded to a report at the store on North Gloster Street. Store personnel told officers that two individuals had stolen merchandise several times.

Following an investigation, Zandria S. Smith, 35, was arrested on Aug. 14 and charged with felony shoplifting. The next day, authorities arrested Exzadrian S. Smith, 34, on similar charges.

Both suspects appeared before Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Weir on Aug. 16. The judge ordered each to be held on a $5,000 bond. The case will be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury for review, officials said.
