Former employee charged with fraud in Tupelo

The Tupelo Police Department announced Tuesday that a former employee has been charged with fraud after a complaint from two local businesses, Transport Trailer and Precision Metals.

Police said the investigation began on Oct. 10, after the businesses reported a fraudulent purchase. Authorities identified Joshua Null, 39, of Guntown, as the suspect.

Null was arrested on Oct. 13 and charged with false pretense. He appeared in Tupelo Municipal Court the same day, where Judge Harry Sumner set his bond at $3,500.

The charges against Null will be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury for further review, according to police.
