Tupelo woman charged with false pretense after claiming employment with Toyota

Tupelo police arrested Arianna Wade, 23, on charges of felony false pretense following an incident at Carlock Toyota on Aug. 10, 2026. The dealership reported that Wade presented false documentation claiming she worked at the Toyota Plant in Blue Springs, Mississippi, to receive an employee discount during a vehicle purchase.

Investigators determined that Wade had not been employed by Toyota. She was taken into custody and charged with felony false pretense.

Wade appeared in Tupelo Municipal Court on Oct. 11, 2026. Judge Jay Weir set her bond at $5,000. The case will be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury for further proceedings, according to authorities.
