Man charged in vehicle burglary at Carlock Toyota

Police responded to Cross Creek Drive on Aug. 21 after reports of a vehicle burglary at 882 Cross Creek Drive, near Carlock Toyota, authorities said.

Officers contacted a victim who reported property was stolen from their vehicle. An investigation led to the arrest of Walter J. Wright, 45, of Fulton, on Aug. 25, police said.

Wright, who had prior arrests on unrelated charges, was charged with two counts of burglary of a vehicle. Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Weir ordered him held on a $10,000 bond. The charges are scheduled to be presented to the Lee County grand jury, authorities added.
