Tupelo police arrested Dewayne Pryor, 26, on charges of aggravated domestic violence following an incident at North Mississippi Medical Center on July 27, 2026. Officers responded to the hospital around 4:06 p.m. after the victim reported being choked and hit during an argument.
Investigators spoke with the victim and identified Pryor as the suspect. He was located and taken into custody. Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Jay Weir set Pryor’s bond at $35,000.
The charges will be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury for further review, according to police.
